Overview
We are looking for an Experienced General Practitioner with current GMC registration and Performer's List to work within the East of England Gender Service, part of the Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health Network.
Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of transgender and non-binary patients, both face‑to‑face and via video consultations, and develop individualized treatment plans.
* Prescribe and monitor gender‑affirming hormone therapy, ensuring safe and effective management.
* Provide surgical recommendations and manage the care pathway for surgical referral.
* Act as a named professional for assigned patients, carrying out assessment and follow‑up responsibilities within the designated case load.
* Function autonomously while adhering to professional guidelines and the service’s policies and procedures.
* Engage in independent prescribing where appropriate.
* Demonstrate active clinical and managerial leadership, providing supervision to team members and maintaining professional standards.
* Participate in annual appraisal, mandatory training, and continuous professional development planning.
* Promote collaboration and positive attitudes across multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
* Current GMC registration and a valid Performer's List.
* Completion of RCP Certificate in Clinical Practice for Adult Gender Identity Healthcare (or equivalent accreditation).
* Experience in gender‑affirming care and working with transgender and non‑binary populations.
* Strong communication, confidentiality, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary environment.
