Manufacturing Manager
Location: Manchester
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead a busy wood workshop team and oversee the production. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll balance time on the shop floor with office-based planning and coordination. Overseeing risk assessment, HSE standards and work safe environments are being met.
You’ll play a key part in ensuring projects run smoothly from sales order through to installation, maintaining exceptional standards of quality and on-time delivery.

What We’re Looking For
Essential:
* Proven experience in Wood Manufacturing
* Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach
* Ability to manage workflow from sales order to installation
* Confident communicator with problem-solving skills across multiple stakeholders
* Skilled in resource planning and production coordination
* DBS check required (basic level)
Desirable:
* Management qualifications
* Knowledge of Lean, 5S, or Continuous Improvement practices
* Experience with installation logistics and project coordination
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day workshop operations, scheduling, and resource planning
* Act as the link between sales, design, and installation teams
* Ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery across all projects
* Oversee client-specific requirements such as colours, specifications, and delivery schedules
* Lead and support a team of skilled joiners, fostering a positive and productive environment
