Role – Nursery Room Leader
Hours – Full time - 40 hours (Monday to Friday)
Salary – from £29,000.00

Your role as a Nursery Room Leader will include
* To be responsible for the day-to-day management of their own room encouraging good practice and being a good role model.
* To ensure regular communication and interaction with parents to update them on their child’s progress.
* Promote positive working relationships with the parents and staff within your room.
* Supervise children at play indoor and outdoor, and at meal times to ensure safety.
* Supervise your team to ensure that children’s work is displayed effectively.
* Ensure that any food served is monitored and we conform to Food Safety regulations.
* Take responsibility and support the staff in your room in planning appropriate activities for the children, following the EYFS framework.
* To take charge of own key worker group and inform parents and other staff of any other relevant information.
* Maintain children’s records inclusive of observations and their next steps. Be responsible for creating an attractive and stimulating environment.
* In the absence of the nursery manager/deputy nursery Manager, assist with the overall running of the nursery and supervision of the team.

* Adhere to all the rules, regulations, procedures and principles within a nursery setting
* Drive a fun, action-packed day of activities, following the EYFS framework
* Communicate and engage with parents
* Provide an enhanced and positive mealtime experience
* Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment
Requirements
* Have experience working with children birth to 5 years
* Must hold a minimum L3 childcare qualification
* Ability to develop and deliver an engaging activity plan in accordance to the EYFS
* Ability to communicate with children and parents
* Work well within a team
* Basic IT skills
