Family Therapist for CAMHS Eating Disorder Team - we are growing our Eating Disorder offer in North East Lincs CAMHS. These are exciting times, and we are looking for someone with a passion for working with Eating Disorders who can take an active lead in developing and embedding systemic practice in the team and more widely across CAMHS and Navigo. We have an established MDT and can offer a supportive and encouraging work environment where the postholder will work collaboratively with Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Dietitians, Mental Health Practitioners, and Support Workers. Supervision standards are high in CAMHS, and staff wellbeing is very important to our team.
Main duties of the job
This post is based predominantly within the CAMHS Community Eating Disorder Team, with scope to support the wider CAMHS Team to develop systemic practice in the service more widely. The postholder will be responsible for exercising autonomous clinical responsibility for the assessment, treatment, and discharge of clients, and delivery of clinical supervision to trainees, more junior Family Therapists, and other professionals participating in systemic therapy practice. The successful applicant will be supported by the team to work with children, young people, and families experiencing high levels of distress. Applicants must be committed to working in a trauma-informed way. The postholder will have scope to help develop our current Eating Disorder pathways and clinical provision within a multidisciplinary team. Navigo may also draw on the successful applicant to support and consult the wider organization in relation to systemic practice.

Job responsibilities
Main Duties / Responsibilities:
Clinical
* Provide specialist systemic assessments of clients referred to the team using information from various systemic methodologies to formulate and implement plans with individuals, families, and carers.
* Deliver highly specialist family therapy with clinical autonomy, respecting families from diverse racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds.
* Implement a range of highly specialist systemic interventions, adjusting formulations based on exploratory models and maintaining provisional hypotheses tailored to individual needs.
* Use analytical and judgment skills in complex processes, such as large network meetings involving clients, families, and professionals.
* Evaluate and decide on treatment options, considering theoretical and therapeutic models and complex factors shaping individuals and families.
* Work with distressed or emotional clients using systemic skills to hold tensions and work towards resolution.
* Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for assessment, treatment, and discharge, communicating with referral agents and other involved parties.
* Provide systemic advice, guidance, and consultation to other professionals, contributing directly to formulation, diagnosis, and treatment plans within a multidisciplinary team.
* Undertake risk assessments and manage risks for individual clients, advising other professionals on systemic aspects of risk management.
* Act as care coordinator where appropriate, contributing to CPA or equivalent processes.
* Communicate complex information sensitively, organizing meetings that may involve high emotion and risk issues.
* Offer advice and guidance to peer and junior professionals, both individually and in team meetings.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Postgraduate qualification in a mental health or social welfare discipline or equivalent recognized by AFT.
* Postgraduate qualification in family/systemic psychotherapy.
* Registration as a Systemic Psychotherapist with UKCP or an equivalent body.
* Specialist training in supervision leading to approved clinical supervisor status or working towards it.
* Specialist training in Family Therapy for Anorexia Nervosa/Bulimia Nervosa or Multi Family Therapy for Eating Disorders.
Experience
* Substantial experience as a family therapist within CAMHS or Eating Disorders Services.
* Experience supervising staff in systemic approaches.
* Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge
* Knowledge of legislation affecting clinical practice and professional management related to mental health and diverse client groups.
* Skills in risk management and clinical risk assessment.
* Knowledge and use of standardized assessments and outcome measures.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development per UKCP/AFT guidelines.
