Full Stack Developer
Location: Manchester
Working Model: Hybrid (Tues/Wed/Thurs in office)
Day Rate: £467.50
Contract Length: 6 Months
Role Overview
We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join a UK Product Team. You will work with modern technologies including Angular and AWS, contributing to client-facing solutions across Transfers and Onboarding journeys (ISA, SIPP, JISA, GA). The team operates using agile methodologies and a continuous delivery pipeline. This role requires a proactive self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, attention to quality, and excellent communication.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver new business-facing solutions, reviewing functional specifications and translating them into technical requirements.
2. Support user acceptance testing and provide 3rd line support where necessary.
3. Follow coding and documentation standards, including peer reviews.
4. Work across multiple priorities with an agile and DevOps mindset.
5. Contribute to high-quality code with a strong focus on client experience.
6. Collaborate effectively within the team and with business stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Experience
7. Background in Finance, Wealth Management, or Asset Management.
8. Strong experience with Angular 12+ and enterprise-level web applications.
9. Good knowledge of Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC and RESTful APIs.
10. Proficient with TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS and responsive design.
11. Experience with AWS serverless technologies (Step Functions, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB).
12. Unit testing experience using Jest or Jasmine; E2E testing with Playwright.
13. Experience integrating with microservices and RESTful APIs.
14. Familiarity with Splunk for logging/monitoring.
15. Knowledge of NodeJS, NestJS and AEM beneficial.
Desirable Skills
16. Experience collaborating with developers, UX, product managers and operations.
17. Interest in pair programming and UX best practices.
18. Good understanding of agile methodologies.
19. Experience with GitHub.
20. Knowledge of the investment management domain.
