Role details
Remote role with daily team meetings. You will be fully supported and trained by the Senior Estimator. The first year will be spent learning the different trade packages they deliver and the mechanics of the role. As you progress, you will work on the full external envelope of a building, tender for work, and commercially deliver the schemes (Estimating & Quantity Surveying). You will be working across the trades and industries covered by the business. There are 2 visits per month to the Colchester office, 9:00–15:00 to allow for travelling time.
Responsibilities
* Learn and understand the trade packages delivered by the business.
* Assist with tender preparation and contribute to the estimating process.
* Work on the external envelope of buildings and support commercial delivery of schemes (Estimating & Quantity Surveying).
* Collaborate across trades and industries serviced by the company.
* Attend 2 visits per month to the Colchester office (9:00–15:00).
Qualifications and experience
* 1 year plus experience working as a Trainee or Assistant Estimator.
* Ability to understand how to put a tender together.
* Understanding of basic principles of estimating and how a building goes together.
* Full training will be provided on the trade packages; estimators from all construction backgrounds are invited to apply.
