Telematics Technician – Heathrow Site
The Opportunity
Join our expert Engineering team as a Telematics Technician, taking responsibility for the installation, maintenance, and support of our cutting-edge telematics systems across a diverse range of equipment. This hands-on role is key to ensuring the reliability and performance of our telematics infrastructure, supporting our operations across the UK and helping drive innovation in fleet connectivity and performance monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
1. Install telematics units across a varied fleet of ground support and plant equipment.
2. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair telematics systems at technician level to ensure reliable functionality.
3. Monitor faults, alerts, and system performance through the Targa Telematics platform.
4. Diagnose issues promptly and deliver effective on-site resolutions to minimise downtime.
5. Take ownership of installation projects from initial planning through to completion.
6. Provide technical support and training to site teams on telematics system operation.
7. Maintain accurate records of all installations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
8. Travel to UK sites to perform installations, diagnostics, and system upgrades as required.
