This well-established Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Lowestoft supports pupils from Year 3 to Year 11, including access to term-time residential provision.
The school specialises in supporting students with:
Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), ensuring a structured, personalised approach to learning, development and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities – SEN Teacher (KS3)
As a KS3 SEN Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEN
Support students in achieving outcomes linked to their EHCP targets
Implement effective behaviour management strategies
Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and families
Follow and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Promote student independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing
Requirements – SEN / SEND Teacher
To be successful in this SEN Teacher job in Suffolk, you will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience working in SEN, SEND, or specialist education settings
Strong knowledge of autism, MLD, and communication needs
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
A flexible, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
