Your NewpanyThe Department formunities (DfC) is seeking a qualified and experienced Staff Officer Accountant to join its Resource Accounting team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to accurate financial reporting and support key business processes within a dynamic public sector environment.
Your New Role
As a Staff Officer Accountant, you will:
1. Prepare and post monthly journals
2. Liaise with stakeholders to investigate and resolve reconciling items
3. Provide financial information for the Annual Report and Accounts
4. Support the production of accounts and VAT returns
5. Undertake other ad hoc finance duties as required
Office attendance is required on Mondays and Tuesdays at Causeway Exchange, Belfast. What You'll Need to Succeed
6. Professionally qualified accountant
7. At least one year’s experience within the last five years in a finance-related environment, in one or more of the following areas:
8. Financial planning and budgeting
9. Financial accounting/auditing
10. Forensic accounting/insolvency-related work
11. Management accounting and cost analysis
12. Investment finance
13. Treasury management
14. Development/implementation of financial systems

15. Hourly Rate: £–£ per hour (£41,272 annually)
16. Contract: Temporary (12 months+) which will open the doors to putting yourself forward for the permanent externalpetitionsing up in the NICS with the help of your line manager and team
17. Hours:37 per week | Monday–Friday| Flexible start and finish times
18. Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days in office / 3 days from home
19. Flexibility:Flexi-time available
