As the MES Engineer at our Banbury plant, you will lead the management and evolution of our Manufacturing Execution Systems.?Youll plan, implement, and support MES software solutions, collaborating cross-functionally to optimise production efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities
*Maintain, support, and upgrade MES systems across the plant.
*Collaborate with production, process, and automation teams to design robust PLCMES interfaces.
*Define MES standards/specs to streamline systems and support new lines/products.
*Manage Engineering Change processes, including labelling and tagging for new part numbers.
*Monitor batch/sequenced assembly lines, enabling real-time decision-making to minimise scrap and mismatches.
Key Skills:
*Proven experience with MES platforms (e.g., Apriso, InSequence, Nysus, Solidat)
*Strong knowledge of PLCs, ERP systems, IT infrastructure, hardware, databases, and development languages
*Expertise in scripting (e.g. SQL), report/dashboard creation, and database query development.
*Solid understanding of PLCMESERP integration.
