An exciting opportunity has become available to work in the Integrated Urgent Care: GP HUB in Croydon. Clinically focused role treating and referring patients who have called 111 or who haven’t been able to secure an appointment in their local General Practice.
GPs are well supported by a Nurse Prescriber across 3 sites; in Croydon, Purley and New Addington – GPs are asked to be flexible across each site, however as a Salaried GP you will have flexibility over the number of sessions and days that work for you.
Salary – £16,480 – £18,000 per session (Sessions are 6 or 7 hours long) + indemnity paid in full + private health insurance + 6 weeks annual leave + 1 week study leave
Location – Croydon, Purley and New Addington – GPs must be available to work across all sites.
The Hub –
1. Highly organised set-up, with strong communication and cohesive working relationships with hospital clinicians.
2. Working with a strong, prescribing multi-disciplinary team.
3. Clinically led post, with no admin.
4. Patients present with a range of problems that GPs will typically see in the General Practice – patient appointment times to accommodate the patient’s needs.
5. The hub is open 365 days per year, from 8:00am until either 8:00pm or 10:00pm depending on the site. (Offering a range of 6 or 7 hour shifts).
Your role
6. 1-6 shifts available – Purley and New Addington sites – shifts: 8:00am-2:00pm, 2:00pm-8:00pm. (6 hours) Croydon – shifts: 8:00-3:00pm, 3:00pm-10:00pm. (7 hours)
7. Clinically focussed position with no admin
8. No home visits
9. 30 appointments per shift – between the GP and Nurse Prescriber
10. 15 or 20 minute appointments
11. You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK performers list.
