In this role you will collaborate regularly with HR colleagues across the cluster, alongside the HR Manager (Cluster) and the GDST HR Business Partner.The successful candidate will provide comprehensive HR administrative support across the full employee lifecycle with strong emphasis on recruitment, payroll, employee records and the accurate upkeep of the Single Central Register (SCR), to ensure ISI compliance. You will also act as a key point of contact for staff, managers and members of the Senior Leadership Team.We are looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters and the confidence to ensure HR policies and procedures are followed at all levels.Experience in a busy HR role is essential, ideally within an education setting. A CIPD Level 3 qualification is desirable, or equivalent HR experience at this level.QualificationsGood level of general educationCIPD Level 3 qualified or demonstrable equivalent HR-related experience of working at this levelProfessional ExperienceWorking in an HR departmentExperience of using management information systemsSound administrative experience, ideally in an education settingExperience of carrying out recruitment and compliance checks including maintaining the Single Central Record would be desirableCompetencies and AttributesUnderstanding of Safeguarding within a schoolGood understanding of and demonstrated ability to apply data protection requirements and maintain confidentialityExcellent attention to detailStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with all stakeholdersExcellent written communication skillsExcellent time managementStrong IT skills, including proficiency in using standard software (i.e., MSOffice)Ability to work in a stand-alone roleBehavioursA genuine passion for girls’ education and a commitment to put our girls first in all aspects of our workA forward-thinking collaborator who can work to our values and mission supporting our ‘family of schools’ ethosA robust awareness of keeping children safe, noticing safeguarding and welfare concerns, and understanding how and when to take appropriate actionCalm and professional under pressure, with an ability to demonstrate sound judgement and timely action when appropriateLocationHR Officer (School) 0126Safeguarding Statement:Our commitmentThe GDST is committed to diversity, inclusion and real change.
