What You’ll Do as SHEQ Officer / SHEQ Advisor
Health, Safety & Environment:
* Lead and support audits, inspections, and HSE investigations across sites.
* Be a visible, approachable presence on the shop floor, coaching safe behaviours.
* Drive adoption of digital H&S tools (audits, risk assessments, reporting).
* Coordinate emergency preparedness and toolbox talks.
* Contribute to ISO 45001 initiatives and platform data validation.
Quality:
* Triage and initiate NCR investigations
* Support digital engineering change request workflows.
* Be the first point of contact for shop floor quality concerns.
* Work alongside the Quality Engineer to reduce reactive workload.
* Assist with ISO audit readiness and documentation improvements.
Who We’re Looking For
* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent Level 3 HSE qualification).
* 4–5 years’ experience in a similar SHEQ, HSE, or quality-focused role within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments.
* Strong communication and influencing skills on the shop floor.
* Basic ability to read and understand engineering drawings (can be trained).
* Organised, confident, and proactive.
* Willing to travel nationally 1–2 times per month.
Bonus Points for:
* Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, or 45001.
* Experience in auditing or digital SHEQ systems.
* Familiarity with NCR/ECR processes.
Location & Hours
* Base: Leeds HQ
* Travel: 1–2 days per month to UK sites
* Hours: 37.5 per week, flexi-time available (core hours 9am–3pm)
