Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist
Speech and Language Therapist – Brighton (1 day/week initially, with potential to grow) Driving essential. This will start off as an associate position (self employed) with the potential to lead to employment.
We're looking for a positive, enthusiastic, and proactive Speech and Language Therapist to join our expanding multidisciplinary team at Starjumpz, supporting children and young people with a broad range of needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly respected, holistic centre offering innovative, child-centred assessment and therapy services. The role is based at our growing Brighton centre, with some work in the local community across Brighton, East and West Sussex.
Starjumpz is a leading independent, CQC Registered assessment and therapy centre known for its pioneering, innovative and holistic approach. In addition to Speech and Language Therapy, Starjumpz services include Consultant Paediatrician and Consultant Psychiatrist diagnostic assessments, post adoption services, Occupational Therapy, Nutrition, Psychological services, Neurofeedback and Functional Medicine. We are a dynamic, caring and friendly team who are passionate about changing children's futures and supporting families.
About the Role:
* 1 day per week initially, with occasional additional days and scope to increase hours
* Work across a range of settings: our clinic, local schools, family homes, and community locations
* Part of our neurodevelopmental assessment team, contributing to diagnostic pathways and ongoing support (ADOS-2)
* Support children and young people aged 0–19 with a variety of needs, including:
-Autism, ADHD, PDA
-Speech, language and communication needs
-Language disorders and articulation difficulties
-Sensory Processing Disorder
-Dyspraxia/DCD, Cerebral Palsy
-Developmental delay, learning disabilities
-Attachment difficulties and developmental trauma
The new Speech and Language Therapist will be able to:
* Work collaboratively with a wide range of colleagues
* Communicate effectively within a large team to ensure effective exchange of information and delivery of a multidisciplinary service
* Communicate complex and sensitive information in an accessible way to parents and carers
* Write clear, accurate reports (with a good level of English) reflecting the needs of children and young people effectively to parents, carers and other professionals
* Support and deliver presentations to schools, parents and carers
* Work in wide range of different environments
* Work independently as well as within a team.
In addition, they will have experience in:
* Working with a paediatric caseload
* Working with ADHD and Autistic children using a neuro-affirming approach
* Working with children with a range of differing needs
The successful applicant must be registered with the HCPC and preferably be a member of RCSLT. The successful applicant will also be subject to safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS check.

Pay: £50.00-£72.00 per hour
