Infrastructure Security Engineer – Hybrid Role
We’re looking for an Infrastructure Security Engineer to join our IT Technical Operations team. You’ll play a key role in strengthening our technology environment, supporting a wide range of infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage vulnerabilities across Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware vSphere, storage platforms, firewalls, and network systems.
* Apply patches, updates, and security controls to protect infrastructure.
* Configure and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other security tools.
* Monitor emerging threats and recommend defensive improvements.
* Review and enhance system, network, and application architectures.
* Support audits, penetration testing, and security assessments.
* Mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive team culture.
* Adhere to legal, regulatory, and organisational security standards.
* Handle data responsibly in line with UK data protection legislation.
What You’ll Bring
* Experience with Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Cisco, F5, Checkpoint, Zscaler, and Juniper Mist (or similar).
* Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and incident response.
* Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and make sound technical decisions.
* A proactive approach to learning and staying up to date with new technologies.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and enterprise storage solutions.
* Experience working in complex network environments or DevOps/Agile teams.
* Qualifications such as ITIL Foundation, MCSA/MCSE, AWS Associate, VMware VCP, or CCNP (or working toward them).
* Strong work ethic, with the ability to deliver solutions independently.
