You must be a qualified and registered Clinical Psychologist and have experience working with children and young people, preferably within a community CAMHS service. Main duties of the job The post holder will offer consultation, assessment, and treatment to young people with mental and emotional health difficulties, alongside their families. The team includes a senior psychologist who will support your professional development, as well as other professionals with a variety of skills and knowledge from diverse backgrounds. Detailed job description and main responsibilities Provide a psychology service to the designated team, including assessment and therapy for individuals and groups as appropriate. Offer specialist consultancy to multidisciplinary teams and other agencies providing care for the client group. Participate in generic team duties as agreed by the operational manager and Psychology Lead, according to the needs of the service. Person specification Qualification Essential criteria Doctoral-level Clinical Psychology qualification or equivalent. Maintenance of appropriate professional registration with HCPC. Experience Essential criteria Post-qualification experience of delivering evidence-based therapies to young people and families in CAMHS. Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team, with the ability to contribute to team meetings and processes. Desirable criteria Experience of providing specialist assessments and interventions, e.g., Autism assessments (ADOS), Eating Disorders, or specialist CBT. Skills Essential criteria Ability to work with children, young people and families from a wide range of social, cultural and minority ethnic backgrounds. Ability to work autonomously and to organise and prioritise workload. Experience of assessing and managing young people who are suicidal, as well as those who present a risk to themselves and others.
