Intelligence Analyst - Borders (CTPSE) Department Borders Location Fareham Rank/Grade TVP Broad Band 4I Salary Broad Band 4I £46,075 per annum, plus benefits Part/Full Time Full Time - All roles are available for flexible working including job sharing and part-time unless there are legitimate operational / business reasons why this cannot be accommodated Type of Contract Permanent Document Attachment Instance 1 Document Attachment Instance 1 Document Attachment Instance 1 Job Advert This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join our Borders team as an Intelligence Analyst within the Joint Maritime Security Centre (JMSC). The JMSC is the UK Government's centre of excellence for maritime security. Its role is to enhance awareness and understanding of maritime security threats, and to enable effective cross-government coordination to deliver a whole-system response to mitigate risk. Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE) provides a dedicated intelligence capability within the JMSC, spanning both the National Maritime Information Centre and JMSC Operations strands. The JMSC intelligence team acts as a single point of entry for all maritime information and intelligence requests from the Counter Terrorism Policing network, intelligence agency partners, and international stakeholders. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality tactical and strategic intelligence analysis to inform, advise and support decision-makers and Senior Police Officers, helping to assess and mitigate threat, risk and harm. You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. For this reason a full UK Driving Licence is essential to the role. You will also be required to perform on-call arrangements for immediate response as required across the South East region Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level DV together with a number of enhanced security checks. In order to achieve this, you must be a British National andhave resided in the UK for the past ten years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad.
