Qualifications
* Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) who will be two years post‑qualification by January 2026.
* Completion of the one‑year EMHP Postgraduate Diploma.
* Professional registration with either the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) or the British Psychological Society (BPS).
Training Requirements
The post holder will be expected to complete the 2‑year Senior Wellbeing Practitioner Post Graduate Diploma at Kings College London to enable progression to a fully qualified Senior Wellbeing Practitioner.
Training start date: Monday 26th January 2026. Applicants must apply for the KCL course simultaneously. The KCL application portal is https://apply.kcl.ac.uk/ (open until 25 November 2025).
Responsibilities
* Work as part of the Lewisham MHST team to manage a defined caseload focused on providing assessment and evidence‑based intervention for children and young people (CYP) with mild to moderate mental health difficulties and their parents/carers.
* Plan and deliver whole‑school activities as part of a school’s whole‑school/college approach to mental health and wellbeing.
* Provide consultation and guided signposting to education settings.
* Provide case management and clinical skills supervision to qualified and/or trainee EMHPs within the service.
* Work flexibly across a range of education providers, promoting participation of CYP families, carers and the wider school community.
* Promote equity, diversity and inclusion within the role and the MHST and school communities, creating a psychologically safe environment.
