We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a cook. Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards, predominantly pasta and pizza.
* Assist in meal preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of food.
* Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management, reporting any shortages or issues.
* Participate in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes.
* Serve meals to customers when required, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
Skills
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
* Strong culinary skills with the ability to create diverse dishes.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Previous restaurant experience is advantageous.
* working under pressure, sometimes running a lunch service alone.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
