Vehicle Technician - Newport, South Wales We are working with a reputable independent automotive service centre in Newport, South Wales, seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their team. Benefits of a Vehicle Technician : Competitive salary ranging from £35,000 to £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays Workplace pension scheme Private healthcare Optional technical training and continuous professional development Long-term career prospects within an expanding local business Working hours from 8:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break Duties of a Vehicle Technician : Perform fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of premium vehicles Accurately diagnose vehicle faults and communicate findings to the Business Directors Ensure all safety and work quality procedures are adhered to in accordance with health and safety regulations Maintain high standards of workmanship in a busy workshop environment Support the team in meeting workload targets and maintaining customer satisfaction Report on vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance as required Carry out MOT testing (if holding a valid Class MOT testing licence), although this is non-essential Requirements of a Vehicle Technician : IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Own comprehensive set of tools Hold a valid UK driving licence with minimal points Motivated, committed, and able to work effectively within a team Ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced workshop Previous experience working with premium or general vehicle servicing is highly desirable Candidates holding a valid Class MOT testing licence will have an advantage, though it is not mandatory Contact Harry Thaxton-Woodcock, Automotive Recruitment Specialist at Perfect Placement covering Newport and South Wales, today to discover more about this fantastic opportunity.
