About the Role
GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Sports Coach to support pupils across a range of physical education and enrichment activities. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sport and youth development, looking to make a meaningful impact on pupils’ physical health, teamwork skills, and overall engagement in school. Opportunities are available on both short-term and long-term bases, with flexible part-time and full-time options.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging sports and physical activity sessions across different age groups
* Support PE lessons alongside teaching staff
* Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and active participation
* Adapt activities to meet the needs of pupils, including those with SEN
* Assist with lunchtime and after-school clubs where required
* Encourage positive behaviour and inclusion through sport
* Support pupils’ well-being and confidence-building
* Provide personal care support where required, in line with school policies
Qualifications
* Experience coaching or supporting sports activities with children or young people
* Knowledge of a range of sports and physical activities
* Ability to engage and motivate pupils of varying abilities
* Understanding of SEN needs is advantageous
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Relevant coaching or sports qualifications (desirable but not essential)
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
