Role summary
As a Specialist Neurodevelopmental Practitioner you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based assessments for autism and ADHD through both NHS-funded referrals and private pathways. You will conduct face‑to‑face structured observations, remote developmental history interviews, and participate in multidisciplinary diagnostic discussions. You will provide clear, compassionate feedback to families, produce accurate clinical reports and diagnostic formulations, and work efficiently to meet service KPIs. You may also deliver clinical supervision where applicable and support the development of the service when required.

Qualifications and experience
* Minimum of 1 year professional registration with HCPC, NMC, GMC or Social Work England.
* Minimum of 1 year experience conducting diagnostic assessments for autism and/or ADHD in children and young people.
* Strong understanding of differential diagnosis in neurodevelopmental presentations.
* In‑depth knowledge of DSM‑5 diagnostic criteria for autism and ADHD.
* Trained and experienced in the use of diagnostic tools such as ADOS‑2 and ADI‑R.
* Effective time management and caseload organisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands and meet clinical deadlines.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and participate in collaborative diagnostic discussions.
* Highly developed written language skills for producing high‑quality clinical reports.
* Well‑developed communication skills with children, young people and their families, ensuring compassionate, clear and professional interactions throughout the assessment process.
* Must be eligible to work in the UK.

Salary: £30,000 to £55,000 depending on experience.
