Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a keen eye for food safety and quality. As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of food preparation, manage kitchen operations, and ensure the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This role offers the opportunity to showcase creativity, maintain high standards, and foster a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient daily operations
Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality and presentation standards
Manage food preparation and cooking processes in accordance with health and safety regulations
Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences
Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene standards, and sanitation procedures
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
Train and mentor staff in culinary techniques, safety protocols, and customer service excellence
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Enforce compliance with licensing laws and health regulations within the kitchen environment

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
Solid understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
Experience in menu development and managing food production processes
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and management
Previous restaurant experience is essential; hospitality background is highly desirable
Knowledge of serving procedures and customer service principles is advantageous

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
