Workplace Assessor – Dental Nursing
Job Overview
If you are an experienced Dental Nurse looking to move away from full‑time chairside work while continuing to impact the dental industry, this role at Tempdent is ideal. We support and develop the next generation of dental nurses through high‑quality training and apprenticeships, and we are seeking passionate professionals to become Workplace Assessors.

Salary
Up to £30,000 per annum pro rata for candidates with relevant qualifications and experience. For candidates not yet CAVA qualified, a starting salary of up to £28,500 per annum pro rata will be offered.
Key Responsibilities
* Schedule and carry out workplace assessments for Dental Nursing learners within required timelines.
* Communicate effectively with practice managers and learners when arranging assessment visits.
* Ensure all relevant clinical treatments are booked and ready for observation.
* Provide constructive and supportive feedback to learners and employers.
* Manage an own assessment diary to maximise assessment opportunities.
* Maintain accurate and timely completion of assessment documentation.
* Support a caseload of learners and prepare them for End Point Assessment (EPA).
* Conduct Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities checks within dental practices.
* Facilitate communication between learners, employers and Tempdent.
* Attend team meetings, handovers and standardisation sessions.
* Work towards agreed targets and KPIs.
* Maintain GDC registration and CPD requirements.
* Promote safeguarding, equality, and best practice across all training environments.
What We Are Looking For
* Qualified GDC registered Dental Nurse.
* Assessor qualification (CAVA or TAQA) or willing to acquire.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage own schedule.
* Confident using office software and digital systems.
* Ability to motivate and support learners.
* Experience assessing Dental Nursing qualifications or apprenticeships is beneficial.
* Teaching or training qualification (AiET) or willing to acquire.
* Knowledge of or experience working in work‑based learning or apprenticeships.
* Confident to build strong relationships with learners and employers.
* Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
* Maintains high professional and clinical standards.
