Location
Homebased. Travel required across East Midlands (Derbyshire, Cambridshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire & Peterborough)
Salary
£54,702 per annum increasing to £60,780 in 18 months, £750 Homeworking Allowance, £1,500 Out of Hours Allowance

Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a staff team of Deputy Area Managers, Social Workers, Family Finders, Recruitment Managers & Officers, Consultants, Panel Members, Administration Team and Children’s and Young People’s Resource Workers.
* Ensure smooth running of the area, prioritising trauma‑informed and therapeutic methodologies and supporting diversity and inclusion.
* Maintain regulatory compliance including service monitoring and safeguarding of children and young people.
* Cover casework as needed during staff sickness or leave.
* Support the delivery of the Service Operational Plan, managing budget and contracts.
* Participate in the out‑of‑hours rota.
* Serve as a Panel Advisor.
Qualifications
* A Level 5 Management Qualification (or willing to enrol within 6 months and complete within 3 years).
* Minimum 3‑5 years post‑qualifying experience in fostering or other childcare settings.
* Proven track record in working with and on behalf of children, respecting and maintaining their individuality and promoting positive development.
* Experience managing a diverse and experienced team, ideally remotely.
* Experience of group work and/or delivery of training.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant legislation including the Fostering National Minimum Standards and Fostering regulations.
* Excellent communication skills, IT proficiency, ability to use virtual meetings and webinars.
* Ability to prioritise, plan and self‑organise efficiently.
* Experience with safeguarding and ensuring regulatory compliance.
