Speedy Freight is looking for a proactive and organised Transport Controller to support our busy National operations from Knutsford.
This is a great opportunity for someone with transport, fleet or logistics experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and being at the centre of daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing daily transport and fleet coverage
* Supporting drivers with operational queries
* Allocating jobs to drivers and subcontractors, managing driving hours accurately and in real time
* Resolve escalated operational issues quickly and professionally
* Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training of drivers
* Maintaining effective communication with drivers, customers and internal teams to ensure smooth daily operations
* Monitoring vehicle issues and servicing requirements
* Working closely with customer service teams to maintain service levels
* Supporting national contracts and branch operations
