About the roleWe are currently recruiting for a reliable and motivated Overhead Crane Operative on a temp to perm basis to join our client based in MiddlesbroughThe successful candidate will have experience of working within heavy engineering and also hold a Counterbalance Forklift Truck licenseThis hands-on role is vital to ensuring the safe and efficient movement of steel and finished parts throughout the site, supporting production and dispatch activities.Job dutiesLoading and unloading vehicles safelyPre-picking steel plate for production and moving materials to and from stock and machineryOperating remote-controlled overhead cranes to move steel plates and finished componentsMoving produced parts to dispatch and preparing them for shipmentSupplying steel plates to machine operators as requiredMarking incoming steel with unique identification and coding offcuts returned to stockAssisting with burning scrap skeletons using oxy-fuel burning torchesMaintaining high standards of housekeeping across work areasEnsuring safe use of machinery and strict adherence to health & safety standardsSupporting other duties as required as and when requiredPlease note due to license restrictions, we are only able to accept valid certificates for the OHC, though inhouse tickets for the Counterbalance will be consideredHoursFull-time, Monday-FridayEarly finish on a Friday44hrs per weekSalary£12.71ph - £14.40phUplifted rates after a successful period of training within the businessBlue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people.TPBN1_UKTJ
