About the Role
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will oversee multiple production teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for leading, motivating, and developing teams while ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently achieved.
This role would suit a proactive and hands-on leader with strong people management skills and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
* Drive production output and efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality and health & safety.
* Lead, motivate, and support production teams to achieve operational targets.
* Monitor performance and conduct, providing coaching, feedback, and performance reviews where required.
* Work closely with Production Management, Scheduling, Logistics, Engineering, and Stores teams to ensure production deadlines are achieved.
* Support Team Leads with technical guidance and problem-solving.
* Conduct return-to-work interviews, disciplinary meetings, and employee reviews in line with company procedures.
* Identify training and development needs alongside the in-house Technical Trainer.
* Promote continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high housekeeping standards across production areas.
* Support cost reduction initiatives and minimise overtime where possible.
* Assist with the setup and optimisation of high-volume production lines for existing and new products.

Essential Skills, Qualifications/Experience:
* A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment.
* Proven experience leading teams to achieve production and performance targets.
* Experience setting up and managing high-volume production lines.
* Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
* A proactive approach with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
Desirable Skills, Qualifications/Experience:
* IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition qualification.
