Job Title: Housing Management & Compliance Coordinator
Reports to: Youth Services Manager
Hours of work: Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
Contract: Fixed Term - 12 months
Key Responsibilities:
* Enable young people to sustain their tenancy and take responsibility for their property.
* Empower young people to report repairs and keep their property clean.
* Help maximize and retain young people's income.
* Ensure voids meet lettable standards before letting, including cleaning and repairs.
* Assist young people in paying rent and service charges.
* Support young people with debt management or refer to specialist agencies.
* Prepare weekly reports on arrears and actions taken.
* Safeguard the welfare of young people.
* Record rent and payments according to procedures.
* Inform support staff of any concerns or needs.
* Assist with benefit claims and related tasks.
* Arrange admissions visits and induct new residents.
* Support young people in maintaining their accommodation.
* Perform administrative tasks like recording payments and inspections.
* Contribute to initiatives to support young people and organization income.
* Work with support staff to address breaches of tenure.
Be flexible to provide out-of-hours support on a rota, including emergency cover.
Leading the Team:
* Develop a cohesive and effective staff team.
* Participate in induction, supervision, and performance management of staff and volunteers.
* Provide cover for colleagues and participate in on-call duties, including anti-social hours.
* Lead and contribute to team meetings.
* Report concerns or service improvements to management.
* Deputise for the Youth Services Manager when needed.
* Monitor service delivery and suggest improvements.
* Support colleagues respectfully.
Qualifications:
* NVQ 4 Advice & Guidance, Care, or equivalent, or working towards Youth Work, Social Work, or equivalent.
Role Experience:
* Experience working with young people in settings like Youth Work, Residential, Social Work, Probation, Community Work, Education, or Housing.
