An established logistics company is currently recruiting for a Country Director, to be responsible for leading and transforming the UK entity (~25 FTE) into a stable, high-performing, and profitable organisation. The role focuses on driving operational excellence, strengthening financial control and building a performance-driven culture, while leveraging existing commercial capabilities. This is a hands‑on leadership role with a clear mandate to improve performance and deliver sustainable profitability.
TYPE: Permanent, full-time SALARY: £110k - £130k, depending on experience + bonus and company car LOCATION: London, West Drayton
Country Director Main Responsibilities
Full P&L responsibility for UK
Define and execute turnaround plan
Improve operational efficiency (warehousing/logistics)
Strengthen cost control and margin discipline
Lead and align the local management team
Ensure performance-driven culture
Align operations with commercial activities
Achieve sustainable profitability
Optimised operational performance
Improved efficiency and cost structure
Stronger financial control and forecasting

Country Director Ideal Candidate
Experience in logistics / warehousing / contract logistics / forwarding
Proven turnaround experience
Strong operational and financial mindset
Hands‑on, pragmatic, results‑driven
Leadership experience with P&L responsibility
Demonstrable experience in growing a company in structured manner
