CK Group are recruiting for an Electrophysiologist to join an innovative biotech with a strong pipeline of preclinical and clinical candidates. The role will be fully based at their laboratories in Stevenage.
This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As Electrophysiologist, you will join a small, focused preclinical R&D group focused on the discovery and development of novel ion channel therapeutics.
Key duties will include:
- Planning, execution and analysis of electrophysiology focused experiments to drive drug discovery and new target validation
- Giving scientific presentations at internal and external meetings, including conferences and to partner companies
QUALIFICATIONS:
As Electrophysiologist you will require:
- A relevant PhD will be preferred
- Experience with in-vitro whole cell patch clamp recordings
- A strong understanding of ion channels, neuroscience and the principals of electrophysiology and pharmacology
- Experience with sold supported membrane-based electrophysiology (SSME) is desirable
