Glosford SIPS, part of the Keystone & Wyckham Blackwell Group of Companies, is seeking a Site Operations Manager to join the team at their Glosford Manufacturing and Design Facility in Hereford. As a specialist company offering a complete service for structural building envelope using the renowned Kingspan TEK wall and roof panels including fully engineered timber floors and internal structural partitions.
Position Overview
We are looking for an individual with a strong site-based background, ideally with experience within the timber frame or offsite manufacturing industry (experience with SIPS would be beneficial).
The successful candidate will be an integral part of a successful team delivering bespoke off-site build projects to a growing market, ensuring the effective delivery and installation while promoting a culture of excellence and efficiency in every project.
The Site Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the safe and effective installation of the kits and liaising with our site teams, internal teams, and clients, snagging on-site works, attending handover and pre-start meetings, and ensuring efficient information flow on contracts. This is a full-time role working nationwide.
Key Responsibilities Attending pre-start meetings and carrying out site inspections.
Initial site viability visits.
Mid-build visits & progress reports.
Final sign-off & snagging, in conjunction with installers and clients.
Carrying out minor remedial works on site as required.
Liaising with third-party health & safety auditors to ensure that all sites are fully compliant.
Working as an effective part of our Operations & Site Management team.
Experience & Qualifications
CSCS card holder & SSSTS/SMSTS qualified.
Appointed Person for lifting operations, or willing to undergo training.
In-depth knowledge of timber frame/SIPs installations.
A background in site operations, including lifting plans, method statements, risk assessments, and all associated H&S requirements.
A good understanding of IT, including app-based site management software.
