SAP ABAP Developer - Outside IR35 - Leeds
TalentBank Technology is supporting an organisation within the manufacturing and retail sector to engage an experienced SAP ABAP Developer on an initial 6-month contract.
This role will support a complex SAP environment spanning SAP ECC, CRM and S/4HANA, contributing to both BAU enhancement work and broader SAP transformation initiatives. The successful consultant will play a key role in designing, developing and supporting ABAP solutions across a highly customised SAP landscape.
This is a hands-on technical role suited to someone who enjoys working across both support and project delivery, while helping shape the future SAP roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop and support ABAP enhancements, reports, interfaces, forms and integrations across SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
* Investigate and resolve incidents, defects and technical issues across the SAP landscape.
* Work closely with functional consultants to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
* Support integrations between SAP and external systems, ensuring stability and performance.
* Contribute to technical design discussions, development standards and ongoing system improvements.
Required Experience
* Proven hands-on experience as a SAP ABAP Developer.
* Strong experience working across SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.
* Ability to debug, troubleshoot and resolve issues across standard and custom SAP developments.
* Experience building and supporting SAP integrations and interfaces.
* Strong understanding of SAP development standards, architecture and best practices.
Additional Experience
* Exposure to SAP Fiori, SAPUI5 or SAP BTP would be advantageous.
* Experience working within highly customised SAP environments.
* Understanding of modern development approaches including CI/CD and structured release management.
* Exposure to SAP CRM/SAP CX environments beneficial.
