Job Purpose
The Director of Business Development & Customer Success is responsible for the growth strategy of Talent Systems’ platforms in the UK & Europe, as well as the long-term satisfaction and loyalty of our customers. This is a unique, hybrid role that requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in both acquiring new business and nurturing existing relationships, and the ability to operate at a senior strategic level. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for shaping and executing our go-to-market strategy, driving top-line revenue, and building a world-class customer success organisation that champions our customers' own growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development:
● Contribute to UK & European strategic planning as a key member of the Talent Systems Europe executive team, providing insights on market opportunities and growth initiatives.
● Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to identify and secure new market opportunities.
● Lead the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and prospecting to negotiation and closing new business.
● Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads, focusing on key accounts and strategic
partnerships.
● Collaborate with the marketing team to align on messaging, campaigns, and lead generation
activities.
● Analyse market trends and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities for growth.
Customer Success:
● Establish and own the company's long-term vision and strategy for Customer Success, ensuring
it is deeply integrated with our product, business development, and marketing functions.
● Oversee the entire customer lifecycle, from onboarding to renewal, ensuring a seamless and
positive experience.
● Implement proactive strategies to monitor customer health, identify at-risk accounts, and
mitigate churn.
● Drive product adoption and value realization by understanding customer goals and
demonstrating how our solutions can help them achieve their objectives.
● Act as the voice of the customer, gathering feedback and collaborating with the product team to influence the product roadmap. Management
● Develop and manage a team of business development and customer success managers, setting clear goals and providing coaching and mentorship.
Qualification & Attributes
● Experience: Leadership experience in business development, sales, and/or customer success,
with a proven ability to operate at a senior or executive level.
● Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
● Knowledge: Deep understanding of the full sales cycle and customer lifecycle management.
● Traits: A strategic mindset, a strong sense of ownership, and a passion for building lasting
customer relationships.
