About Central Operations (CO)
Central Operations (CO) refers to a new approach in Amazon Logistics (AMZL) to define a scalable solution for an increasingly complex and growing last mile delivery network. CO is a key strategic initiative aimed at transforming route planning, labor planning, and last mile on-road delivery. This role offers the opportunity to support a rapidly evolving part of AMZL, leading in developing a best-in-class operation to make effective, real-time decisions that enhance customer and driver experience through optimized route planning.
Role Overview
As an EU Flow Manager, you will lead a team of Shift Managers and Schedulers to drive performance and ensure adherence to standard processes for daily tasks. Your responsibilities include building processes, systems, and mechanisms to support the flow of hundreds of thousands of packages across multiple Delivery Stations daily. You will drive execution and efficiency through data-driven decision-making and analytical problem-solving. You will be accountable for costs, customer experience, and delivery partner experience, both in daily operations and long-term improvements. Additionally, you will coach and mentor your team, foster positive employee relations, and develop leadership within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage daily team operations, ensuring timely execution of all tasks according to standard practices.
2. Monitor and report on daily and weekly performance metrics; analyze trends, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
3. Implement best practices to improve customer satisfaction, cost efficiency, and delivery partner outcomes, including developing scalable processes and systems.
4. Create and promote scalable standard work procedures to support remote management of complex business areas.
5. Identify opportunities for process improvements through data analysis and lead initiatives accordingly.
6. Support recognition and communication programs within the scheduling team.
Minimum Qualifications
* A degree
* Relevant experience in people management
* Experience communicating with diverse stakeholders, including peers and leadership
* Experience using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
* Proficiency in verbal and written English and the local language
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques
* Experience in a logistics environment
* Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
