You remove technical barriers to comfort.
Access to Remembrance You ensure families can effortlessly download our Certificates of Life and personalized graphics and participate in remembrance projects like the Perpetual Flame. These activities are central to the healing process and your work makes them immediately available.

Funding Confidence When grant providers and corporate fundraisers visit our site (a role we are also actively recruiting for!), a seamless and modern platform shows we are a credible, effective charity ready to steward donations responsibly.

Revenue Generation The shop provides a steady, reliable source of income that funds our core charitable work, such as the donation of Memory Boxes to hospitals. Your efficiency in managing inventory display, security, and checkout processes maximizes the funds we can dedicate to bereaved families.
Freeing Up Core Team Time By taking ownership of the website maintenance and shop management, you free up the time of our small core team (including our Trustees) so they can focus on what only they can do providing emotional support, writing grant applications and developing new support projects.

What are we looking for?
Proven experience with website design/CMS is obviously the most important requirement. Followed by
* Knowledge of or willingness to learn WordPress and WooCommerce systems
* Product Management
* CRM expertise would be desirable
* Strong eye for design
* Good English and Maths although most systems can help with this as long as you know what you are trying to say or do.
* Good organizational skills
* Knowledge of GDPR and how it works
What will you be doing?
* Proven experience with website design/CMS (like WordPress/WooCommerce) and slso some knowledge of CRM would be good. Strong eye for design, good organizational skills, and a commitment to keeping user data secure/GDPR.
* The ideal volunteer will polish our new website designed by GrassRoots, make sure it runs smoothly and works accurately.
* They may need to work with the Social Media Volunteer on developing some new pages such as a blog, monthly news page and possibly rolling campaigns to attract footfall to the site, both those needing help and those who may be looking for a charity to donate to, so a dynamic yet warm and friendly website is crucial and ours is not quite there yet so it will be a project to undertake making it worthy of the community it represents.
* The online shop is in need of a lot of work and would be a priority as each year in May we hold an online silent auction and we would like to make sure this year the whole system works well before we go live as we had a few problems last year.
It would be helpful if the volunteer had some experience of loss just to help them to understand the demographic they will be presenting the site to and what may work and what wont but there will always be someone to check-in with and have work signed off by before it goes live if needed.
