Offer description

Key areas of responsibility:

1. Design an event programme for Members of the Museum’s adult and child membership schemes to engage Members with the Museum and its collection, increasing retention rates and overall satisfaction.
2. To take responsibility for Member events including managing the budget, forecasting and delivering income, and evaluating audience needs and past event performance.
3. To support the Museum’s Patrons’ programme and the stewardship of wider Supporters by working to plan and execute a suite of events for Patrons and other Museum Supporters including talks, tours and exhibition-related events.
4. Additional responsibilities include managing the Supporter Events Coordinator, working with the Head of Supporter Engagement to identify key opportunities for recruitment and retention of Members.

About you:

5. Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
6. Experience of managing both largeand small-scale events
7. Experience of following relevant legislation and health and safety guidance, including preparing risk assessments
8. Able to manage delivery teams which may include freelancers, curators and volunteers
9. Strong understanding of event design, development, delivery and review
10. Experience of effectively managing a budget
11. Imaginative and engaging spoken and written communication skills
12. Excellent stakeholder relationship skills
