Devizes Opportunity Centre is seeking an experienced Level 3 Early Years Educator with SEN experience to join our small team based in Devizes working with children aged 0 – 4 years.
Responsibilities
* Plan, implement and assess age‑appropriate activities for children in preschool (2‑4 years), assessment sessions (2‑3 years) and stay‑and‑play sessions (0‑2 years).
* Work closely with parents to support and empower them in their child’s learning.
* Compile reports on each child’s strengths and developmental needs.
* Complete relevant EYFS paperwork and ensure the use of individual targets set by speech and language or other health professionals.
* Liaise with health partners such as speech‑language therapists, physiotherapists, hearing & vision teams, and community nurses.
* Apply strategies including Makaton, communication boards (Core Grid), autism activity, TEACCH, intensive interactions and SALT targets.
Qualifications
* Sound knowledge of the EYFS.
* UK‑recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification.
* Experience as an Early Years Educator with SEN.
Additional Skills
* Experience with Makaton, communication boards, TEACCH and SALT targets.
