Milk Education Liverpool is working closely with a friendly and supportive secondary school in Southport to recruit a Cover Supervisor for a September start.

This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with experience in education or childcare settings who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience ahead of the new academic year.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students stay on task and complete pre-prepared work.

Responsibilities include:

1. Delivering pre-set lesson plans across a range of subjects
2. Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
3. Supporting pupils with their learning and engagement
4. Feeding back to teaching staff where required

The Ideal Candidate

Essential:

5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Confidence working with secondary-aged pupils
7. A professional and proactive approach

Desirable:

8. Experience in a school, childcare, or youth work setting
9. Graduates welcome, particularly those with subject specialisms (e.g. English, Maths, Science, Humanities, PE)
10. Those considering a future career in teaching or education
