We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced occupational therapist with proven clinical skills and an interest in clinical/operational/strategic development to join our team based in Canterbury.
The East Kent Rehabilitation Service has a 12 month secondment opportunity for a Band 7 Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist. The successful applicant will deliver occupational therapy interventions as part of the MDT at Ethelbert Road inpatient rehabilitation unit, 6 sessions (3 days) per week and provide occupational therapy leadership to inpatient and community rehabilitation for the remaining 4 sessions (2 days) as part of the wider leadership team.
The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
The clinical lead occupational therapist is a highly experienced occupational therapist within the multidisciplinary care team.
Responsibilities
* Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate therapeutic interventions for service users within one of the inpatient rehabilitation units; and manage a defined caseload of complex service users with occupational needs using evidence‑based, service user‑centred, hope and recovery, health promotion and relapse prevention orientated principles and practice.
* Be responsible for providing clinical leadership for junior staff and students through means of supervision, appraisal and training, and managing the quality and performance of the occupational therapy team.
