Systems Engineer
Location: On-site in Accrington
Our client is a leading engineering organisation delivering advanced, custom-built machinery across multiple industries. They are looking for a Systems Engineer to design, integrate and optimise complex electromechanical systems, working across mechanical, electrical, control and software disciplines.

What You'll Do
* Develop system architectures and translate customer requirements into technical designs.
* Define subsystem interfaces and support full mechanical-electrical-software integration.
* Lead system analysis, feasibility work, risk assessments and design reviews.
* Produce and maintain FDS documents, control philosophies and test plans.
* Support machine build, FAT/SAT, commissioning and customer interactions.
* Diagnose system-level issues and drive engineering improvements.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and support documentation for manuals.
What We're Looking For
* Experience with complex electromechanical systems or bespoke machinery.
* Strong understanding of automation, PLCs, sensors, motion control and industrial networks.
* Ability to interpret drawings, schematics and system documentation.
* Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and cross-functional communication skills.
* Knowledge of safety standards (CE/Machinery Directive/EN ISO 13849) is a plus.
* Familiarity with Siemens PLCs and CAD/CAE tools is beneficial.
