About the Role
We are looking for a Cost & Carbon Solutions Consultant to join our growing team in Manchester, supporting our growth and expansion efforts across the UK and into new markets, particularly across Europe.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in delivery of major infrastructure projects and programmes, ideally gained within a consultancy environment (who also has passion for technology and software). You’ll work closely with our commercial and product teams to bring technical credibility to client conversations, and help to solve real customer challenges, improve estimating accuracy, and support better decision-making across infrastructure, public sector, and sustainability-focused projects.
With a focus on business development and market expansion, this role is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, shaping tailored solutions, and driving improved client outcomes through smarter estimating. Key Responsibilities
* Support sales and business development activities across the UK and Europe by providing expert cost estimating input during client engagements.
* Act as a subject matter expert, helping to translate client requirements into software and service solutions.
* Demonstrate estimating software to clients and support adoption through onboarding and technical guidance.
* Use your existing network within the infrastructure and public sectors (e.g., asset owners, government organisations) to help identify and develop opportunities.
* Support the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for new regions, with a focus on Europe.
* Provide feedback from client interactions to inform product development and improve user experience.
* Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop industry-relevant content and insights.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in cost estimating, ideally within an infrastructure or engineering consultancy.
* Strong understanding of cost estimation processes for large-scale public infrastructure projects.
* Hands-on experience with estimating software (such as Benchmark, Candy, CostX, or similar) is essential.
* A genuine interest in technology and software, with the ability to articulate their value in an estimating context.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Existing relationships within the infrastructure or public sector, particularly with government bodies or asset owners.
* Self-driven, commercially aware, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
