Your impact
As a key member of our Bridges and Structures team, you’ll lead our transformation into a solutions‑focused provider, leveraging new technologies, digital processes, and lean methodologies to enhance efficiency and deliver greater value. With a strong focus on sustainability and decarbonisation, you’ll apply advanced technical engineering, interpersonal, and organisational skills to support the delivery of structural solutions across highways, rail, aviation, energy, and power sectors.
In this role, you will
* Lead and mentor teams in structural analysis, feasibility studies, tender and detailed designs, and the production of contract documents and technical reports.
* Coordinate with other disciplines to deliver integrated services and high‑quality outcomes for clients.
* Drive innovation by identifying and implementing data‑driven, automated and standardised solutions to improve project efficiency and productivity.
* Collaborate with our UK and Global Integrated Delivery teams to optimise resources and ensure successful project delivery.
Our Structural Solutions capability sits within Jacobs’ wider Transportation business, where we pride ourselves on delivering technically complex schemes in the UK and internationally. We have a strong reputation through projects with High Speed 2, National Highways, Network Rail, Welsh Government, National Contractors & Local Authorities.
Here’s what you’ll need
* A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline)
* A professional qualification
* Excellent communication, collaboration and time‑management skills
* Project management and leadership skills related to bridge design (or other disciplines)
* Strong technical design and practical problem‑solving skills
* Experience in asset management, structure renewals and post‑tensioned structures is particularly valued, but we also welcome candidates from other disciplines.
