Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our team as a driver and administrator for Island Carriers, part of Isles of Scilly Freight.
This is a varied role and requires the successful candidate to be able to be flexible and able to prioritise a variety of different tasks.
Key responsibilities:
Pack and load products onto vans / HGV vehicles according to company's specifications.
Deliver freight to residential areas, business and institutions supporting team members as and when required.
You will be required to provide administrative and clerical support multi-tasking to maintain an efficient office environment including data entry: banking and reconciliation.
You will be the first line of contact to visitors, customers in person and via the telephone.
You will require:
* A full driving license
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and high pressure environment
* Ability to problem solve and think on one's feet
* Previous experience in a customer service environment
* Ability to demonstrate professionalism and enthusiasm with lots of passion and energy
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
* A "can do" and "I can help you"" attitude
* Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends
* Solid organisational and administration skills
* Competent IT skills including MS Office and accounting systems
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to use own initiative
* Ability to multitask and carry out core routine duties.
* An appropriate level of fitness as this is a physically demanding role.
* You must be reliable and punctual

Hours
A permanent 40 hours per week contract which will include weekday and weekend working.
