Stoke Bishop Church of England Primary School is a thriving school in North-West Bristol. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic SMSA to join our lunchtime team to ensure that allchildren have a pleasant lunchtime experience. We are looking for someone to work as part of our friendly SMSA team to supervise, guide and assist children during the midday break, so as to ensure the safety, general welfare and proper conduct of pupils during this period.
The jobholder will:
1. Safely supervise the movement of pupils at lunchtime to and from the dining areas
2. Set up tables and chairs and the setting, clearing and wiping of tables
3. Maintain good order in the dining areas and assist pupils with their meals
We are looking for someone who:
4. Enjoys interacting with children
5. Shows empathy with children
6. Has an ability to communicate across a wide range of adults and pupils
7. Can follow verbal or written instructions
8. Can work cooperatively as part of a team
9. Has an understanding of basic hygiene procedures
A first aid qualification would be welcome or the willingness to attend first aid training.

Salary and Working Arrangements
£12.65 per hour. Actual salary based on 7.5 hours per week £4,232.
Normal working hours are 7.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday 11.45am - 1.15pm. Term time only and excluding inset days.
Start date: January 2026 or as soon as possible after this date (subject to notice period).
