We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Complex needs outreach Worker to join our team in West Kent. Based in Sevenoaks, you will be reaching out to people experiencing rough sleeping — often with complex needs such as mental health, substance misuse, or learning disabilities — and support them to find and keep safe accommodation.
You’ll build trust with people who may be wary of traditional services, helping them to access housing, health care, and the support they need to rebuild their lives. Working closely with local partners, you’ll be active in supporting vulnerable individuals out of homelessness.
The role requires:
* Excellent communication and people skills and experience of working with people who have experienced homelessness, however candidates without this experience / knowledge will still be considered as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
* Excellent partnership working skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
* An understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people.
* Experience of helping vulnerable and complex people and supporting them through a process of change.
* An understanding of key homelessness legislation
* A sound understanding of the support needs of people who are experiencing homelessness or with low incomes, including rent payments/arrears.
* A commitment to supporting people by helping them to build on their strengths.
* Driver with own transport
Working pattern: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with some flexibility required.
Contract type: Fixed-Term to March 2026
Interview date: TBC
Please note, salaries are pro-rata for part-time positions.
