Job Title: Press Supervisor

Hours: Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm (30 min lunch) | Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Press Supervisor to lead our Press Department. You will play a key role in managing the daily operations of the press area, ensuring targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and staff operate safely and efficiently. Using your leadership skills and knowledge of Lean manufacturing, you will drive continuous improvement, reduce costs, and enhance production and quality.
This is a hands‑on role where your decisions and actions directly impact the success of the team and the business.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & People Management
* Lead by example to maintain a safe, efficient, and high‑performing workplace.
* Supervise, motivate, and develop team members to achieve performance goals.
* Conduct training for operators on products, processes, and best practices.
* Address personnel matters in line with company policy, ensuring engagement and compliance.
* Monitor KPIs, attendance, and team performance, providing feedback and guidance.
Production & Quality
* Achieve company quality standards and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Oversee production planning, resource allocation, and scheduling to meet delivery targets.
* Promote Lean manufacturing principles to continuously improve productivity and efficiency.
* Implement engineering changes, production trials, and model/pilot builds.
* Identify root causes of non‑conformance and implement sustainable corrective actions.
Safety & Compliance
* Ensure adherence to Health & Safety regulations, Standard Operating Procedures, and company policies.
* Promote Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to maximize equipment availability.
* Conduct investigations of incidents, accidents, and non‑conformities.
Continuous Improvement & Communication
* Use Lean tools and visual management to drive improvements and share ideas.
* Collaborate with support functions to optimise processes, procedures, and controls.
* Provide input on process improvements, supporting operational efficiency and quality delivery.
