Description Site Service Planner – Conveyor Belting Reports To UK Operations Manager Role Purpose The Site Service Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating conveyor belting service activities to ensure efficient deployment of belting fitters, minimal downtime for customers, and safe, compliant delivery of site services. The role acts as the key link between customers, site fitters, and internal operations. Key Responsibilities Planning & Scheduling Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and shutdown works for conveyor belting fitters across multiple sites Allocate labour, equipment, and materials to jobs based on priority, skill requirements, and site conditions Respond to breakdowns and emergency call-outs, adjusting plans as required Coordinate shutdowns, belt changes, and major remedial works with customers Coordination & Communication Act as the primary point of contact between Sales, production, and belting teams Issue job instructions, work scopes, site details, and permits/information to fitters Communicate job updates, delays, and changes effectively to all stakeholders Safety, Compliance & Site Readiness Ensure all works are planned in line with company H&S policies and client site requirements Check that RAMS, permits, inductions, and certifications are in place prior to site attendance Promote safe working practices and support a strong safety culture Commercial & Administrative Control Assist with job costing, labour planning, and efficient use of resources Monitor fitter utilisation, overtime, travel, and productivity Ensure accurate job records, timesheets, and reports are completed Support invoicing by providing job completion details and variations Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve planning efficiency, response times, and customer satisfaction Feed back recurring issues, belt failures, or site risks to management Support service performance reviews and planning meetings Skills & Experience Essential Experience in service planning, scheduling, or coordination (engineering, maintenance, or industrial services) Good understanding of site-based operations and field teams Strong organisational and problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities Confident communicator with customers and operational teams Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, planning tools) Desirable Background in conveyor belting, mechanical maintenance, or industrial services Knowledge of shutdown planning and breakdown response Understanding of H&S requirements in industrial or quarry environments Experience working with engineers or fitters in the field Personal Attributes Calm, methodical, and decisive Customer-focused with a practical mindset Proactive and adaptable Strong attention to detail Team-oriented but able to work independently Working Conditions Office-based with regular interaction with site teams Occasional site visits required May involve early starts, out-of-hours coordination, or on-call support depending on business needs
