We are seeking an inspirational and dedicated Biology Teacher to join our thriving Science Faculty, delivering high‑quality teaching and learning for pupils aged 11‑18. The successful candidate will be a passionate advocate for Biology education, committed to sparking curiosity, fostering academic achievement, and nurturing a love of learning in our students.
Contract
Full‑time, permanent
Salary: dependent on experience
Start date: January 2026
Responsibilities
* Teach biology across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, preparing students for GCSE and A‑Level examinations.
* Design and deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons that inspire curiosity and build confidence.
* Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
* Bring learning to life with hands‑on experiments, fieldwork and innovative teaching approaches.
* Contribute to enrichment activities, including STEM clubs and school events.
* Support the wider life of the school through collaboration, commitment and pastoral care.
Qualifications & Experience
* A degree in Biology (or a related field) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* The ability to teach biology confidently across Key Stages 3‑5, including GCSE and A‑Level.
* A proven track record of excellent classroom practice, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
* Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and adaptable approach.
* A genuine passion for biology and a commitment to fostering a lifelong love of learning in pupils.
