Are you a skilled PLC Software Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a designer and manufacturer of special purpose machinery, is seeking an engineer to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative, bespoke automated systems for high-profile customers across regulated industries. You'll play a key role in the full project lifecycle - taking concepts from initial specification through to commissioning and customer handover.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, test, and implement PLC software for bespoke automated machinery
* Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and project engineering teams
* Support machine FAT/SAT activities and on-site commissioning
* Produce and maintain technical documentation
* Provide technical input during design reviews and customer meetings
Ideal Experience
* PLC programming proficiency (Siemens preferred)
* Background working with pharmaceutical equipment or other regulated sectors such as food & beverage, medical devices, automotive, aerospace, or FMCG
* Experience delivering automation solutions for special purpose machinery, robotics, or complex production systems
* Strong understanding of machine safety standards and validation processes
* Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment
* A proactive engineer with excellent problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and the ability to engage confidently with customers
* Someone who enjoys variety and the challenge of developing one-off solutions
* Willingness to travel occasionally for commissioning
